Eddie Vedder, in uscita “Ukulele Songs” e “Water on the Road”

Il nuovo disco solista di Eddie Vedder uscirà il 31 Maggio: la conferma ufficiale è arrivata del  sito dei Pearl Jam. Il lavoro solista del frontman dei Pearl Jam si intitola “Ukulele songs” ed è stato  anticipato qualche giorno fa  dal singolo “Longing to Belong“, rilasciato in streaming e  da oggi  disponibile nei principali store online.

L’album di Eddie Vedder sarà pubblicato dalla Monkeywrench Records, etichetta di proprietà della stessa band di Seattle e conterrà brani inediti e cover eseguite da Vedder con l’ukulele. Ad impreziosire la voce del cantante, anche il suono di un violoncello.

Sempre nello stesso giorno ( 31 Maggio),  verrà rilasciato “Water on the Road”, un Dvd live, diretto da Brendan Canty, che raccoglie i concerti del 16 e 17 Agosto 2008 al Warner Theatre di Washington DC, nell’ambito del tour solista di Eddie Vedder.

In “Ukulele songs”, second album solista di Vedder, trova posto la partecipazione di Glen Hansard che duetta con Vedder in  “Sleepless Nights” e quella di Cat Power in “Tonight You Belong To Me“.
