Grammy Awards 2018, il trionfatore è Bruno Mars

La 60ª edizione dei Grammy Awards, condotta per la seconda volta da James Corden, si è svolta lo scorso 28 gennaio 2018 al Madison Square Garden di New York e ha visto trionfare Bruno Mars con ben 6 premi vinti, nonostante l’artista che avesse ricevuto il maggior numero di candidature è stato Jay-Z con 8 candidature.

In una serata in cui il vero grande assente è stato il rock, visto che al di fuori delle categorie dedicate i premi più importanti sono stati quasi completamente appannaggio di artisti di estrazione rap, soul, urban e r’n’b, dietro al nuovo Michael Jackson della musica pop si è schierato Kendrick Lamar, vincitore di cinque statuette, tre in categorie minori e due nelle categorie Best Rap Album e Best Rap/Sung Performance (quest’ultima condivisa con Rihanna).

La serata è stata anche l’occasione per vedere alcune performance dal vivo memorabili: da ricordare l’esibizione di Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee e Zuleyka Rivera con “Despacito“, il duetto tra Lady Gaga e Mark Ronson per i brani “Joanne” e “Million Reasons“, il duettro di Bruno Mars e Cardi B per “Finesse” e “Bartier Cardi“, quello tra Sting e Shaggy con “Englishman in New York” e “Don’t Make Me Wait” il toccante tributo a Chris Cornell e Chester Bennington fatto da Logic, Alessia Cara e Khalid con la canzone “1-800-273-8255“.
